We use both the Old Testament and the Gospels as the foundation for our faith and the inspiration for our daily lives.

We put those teachings into practice at home and at work.

Just as Jesus said in the Beatitudes, blessed are the poor and the hungry. Our mission is not just to love one another, but to make sure we spread the love of the Gospels everywhere.

The Oldest Parish in Colorado:

 History:
This tract was selected by Bishop Machebeuf for the first permanent church in Colorado. Here was built a Jacal (Picket) church, later replaced by a larger church. The first parish of Colorado was erected 100 years ago with Our Lady of Guadalupe as patron by John B. Lamy, first Bishop of Sante Fe, NM. Father Montaño was the first pastor. The finished church was dedicated by Bishop Lamy on December 12th, 1863, was under the Jesuit Fathers 1871-1920. Since 1920 it has been under the Theatine Fathers. Fire destroyed the church on Ash Wednesday, 1926. Read more

13 Conejos. Proceed north on State Highway 285 north

out of Antonito Colorado and look for the sign

"Oldest Church in Colorado". Turn left on two County road

G-6 and proceed 1/4 mile until you see the church.

Summer: 7:30 to 6:00 PM.
